Perfect world for imperfect people – should it really be all about inches?

The specific proportions of 36–24–36 inches (90-60-90 centimeters) have frequently been given as the “ideal”, or “hourglass” proportions for women since at least the 1960s. Over the years this belief was communicated to the world as the only truth and made many women unhappy as not all of them were able to answer for that perfect figure requirement. Meanwhile this pressure got changed as scientists shared their calculations and have concluded that the perfect figure size of women is 38-24-35 inches.

It seems that answer for a question what should be the perfect breast-waist-hip measurement changes as world changes. Currently it seems that “body positivity” philosophy supports those who do not have specific proportions of 36–24–36 inches. We have to remember that an answer and the right way to follow should be person’s health, comfort and happiness, not a question “how many cm” or “how many inches” should be considered as ideal proportions.
