Therefore, the scholarships offered by the Mieroszewski Centre present a unique opportunity for these scholars to spread their wings, allowing them to dedicate themselves fully to their research endeavors and contribute meaningfully to the academic world. A month in Poland

This program is specifically designed for researchers who are actively engaged with academics, experts, or think tanks, as well as doctoral students who have already undertaken research efforts. This type of scholarship in poland offers a unique opportunity for researchers from various Eastern European countries, including Ukraine, Armenia, and other countries, to delve into the rich history, political and cultural landscape, and heritage of Central and Eastern Europe.

The scholarship supports a wide range of research activities, such as conducting interviews and surveys, exploring archival and library resources, and more. The program provides a grant of PLN 6500 for a one-month stay in Poland. Scholarships will be awarded until the available funding is depleted.

Research in Poland

The scholarship offers financial assistance to international researchers conducting research on the history, politics, culture, and heritage of Central and Eastern Europe.

The scholarship is open to foreign researchers who:

  • collaborate with academic institutions, research centers, or think tanks,
  • have a proven record of scholar and research accomplishments,
  • plan to conduct their research in Poland,
  • are doctoral students pursuing a doctoral degree in a field relevant to the Centre’s research focus, even if they haven’t yet completed their degree.

The scholarship provides a monthly grant of PLN 6500 and can be awarded for a duration of three to nine months.

Research in Ukraine

This scholarship program aims to support Ukrainian scholars in their ongoing research on the history, culture, and politics of Central and Eastern Europe. It also fosters international scientific collaboration, with a particular emphasis on strengthening academic ties between Poland and Ukraine.

A Research in Ukraine program is open to Ukrainian citizens who are actively engaged in research within Ukraine despite the ongoing war with Russia. The specific research topics eligible for funding will vary each year, reflecting current research priorities and challenges. The scholarship provides a monthly grant of PLN 6500 for a duration of three months.
