Lenny Kravitz – always on the run
How it all begun
Lenny Kravitz was born in New York City on May 26, 1964. His father was NBC’s leading producer Sy Kravitz and his mother was an actress Roxie Roker. When he was a kid his parents decided to move to Los Angeles, where Lenny took his first steps in his musical career. He attended one of the best choirs in the world – The California Boys Choir, with which he performed at The Metropolitan Opera in such performances as “The Magic Flute” and “Carmen”.
First album
His first album, “Let Love Rule”, released in 1989, was received with great approval from the audience. A year later, Lenny began working with Madonna. For the purposes of this collaboration, he composed the song “Justify My Love”. Another album called “Mama Said” appeared in 1991 and obtained the status of a gold album. The next issues (including “Are You Gonna Go My Way”) appeared on average every two years, always reaching high positions on the sales lists. Altogether, the artist’s oeuvre includes 11 albums. The song “I Belong to You” for a song from the repertoire of rock musician Lenny ‘Kravitz. The song was on the artist’s fifth studio album, “5” from 1998. It was written and produced by Kravitz, and was released by Virgin Records America. The hit “I Belong to You” was the last single from the album and was released on September 23, 1998. In 1987, Lenny began dating actress Lisa Bonet. The couple had met two years earlier, but initially their relationship was based solely on friendship. The couple quickly decided to get married in Vegas. A year later, their daughter, Zoë, was born. In 1993, Kravitz and Bonet divorced, after which the artist dated many famous women. Following the divorce, he was seen with Vanessa Paradis, Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Kate Moss and Adriana Lima, among others. In 2004, he was associated with Nicole Kidman. Their relationship lasted less than a year. In 2018, the musician confirmed that he is meeting the star of the world’s catwalks, model Barbara Fialho.
